Ex-Seahawks, Patriots CB Brandon Browner reportedly gets eight years in prison for kidnapping charges

Former Patriots CB Brandon Browner sentenced to 8 years in prison (Report)

According to reports, Browner was sentenced to 8 years behind bars after being found guilty for attempted murder after pleading no contest.

Police said Browner broke into his ex-girlfriend's house and threatened to kill her, as well as stole a watch worth over $20,000. He was later arrested and has been in custody since July.

Those charges stemmed from an incident in Pomona, California, on May 6 involving Browner and Marin Foster, the mother of two of his children. He also pleaded no contest to two counts of willful child endangerment. His robbery, burglary and false imprisonment chargers consequently were dropped in a plea deal.

He later was caught, arrested and charged with attempted murder.

Back in July, former Seahawks and Patriots star cornerback Brandon Browner, once a part of the Legion of Boom, was arrested yet again, this time on multiple charges in what looked like a very odd and concerning situation. Browner was sentenced then to one day in jail, three years of probation, 48 hours of community service and an order requesting him to stay away from the victims for three years.

Former Seattle Seahawk and member of the Super Bowl-winning secondary "Legion of Boom" Brandon Browner will have to sit in a prison cell for the next eight years. Alongside Darrelle Revis, Browner helped New England defeat his old team in Super Bowl XLIX.

Browner played just five seasons in the National Football League, but managed to assemble an impressive resume: two Super Bowl championships, one Pro-Bowl appearance and 12 interceptions.
