Ryan from Ryan Toys Review
A Seven-year-old YouTuber, Ryan of Ryan ToysReview, is Forbes' Top-Earning Vlogger of the Year. His parents launched Ryan ToysReview in March 2015, and he now has 17.3 million subscribers, with almost 26 billion views.
Other than $1 million earned from sponsored posts, the entirety of that $22 million came from pre-roll ads that play before his videos.
The amount generated by sponsored posts is small compared with other top YouTubers, Forbes writes. Ryan, the face of YouTube'sRyan ToysReview, is giving the adults life goals by making $22 million in revenue previous year through its videos posted on the largest video platform. It is "the result not only of how few deals Ryan (or his family) chooses to accept, but also the fact that his pint-sized demographic isn't exactly all that flush".
Capitalising on his success, the mini-mogul has now launched Ryan's World - a toy and apparel collection sold exclusively at Walmart.
Ryan's twin sisters haven't been left out of the fun either: they feature in some videos on a related YouTube channel called Ryan's Family Review.
Online sensation Jake Paul was second on Forbes' list, with £16.8m. Jake Paul went from 7th in 2017 to 2nd in 2018, bringing in $21.5 million (about Rs. 151.32 crore) in the process, while his controversial brother Logan dropped six places to 10th.
"Fifteen per cent of his earnings are put into a bank account to access when he becomes an adult", it reported.
But he still earned nearly $20m, three million more than in 2017.
Sports crew Dude Perfect made £15.7 million and Daniel Middleton, who specialises in the popular Minecraft game, was fourth with £14.5 million.
