Kate Furious With Meghan, Following Incident With Household Staff

03 December 2018, 12:57 | Myron Mathis

The Duchess of Sussex has one simple way of dealing with negative publicity about her - she doesn't read it.

Rumours of a royal rift are escalating as it is alleged the Cambridges and the Sussexes will spend Christmas apart this year.

According to the report, Meghan and Harry may instead opt for a hospital in Windsor-where they are soon to relocate-or to welcome the child at home.

Meghan won over the hearts of the nation as she carried out a demanding 16-day overseas tour around Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand in October. "Harry wants to be his own person - not in William's shadow".

Carole also revealed that she had a heavy hand in planning Kate's wedding, saying, "We talked about music...everything".

However, other Royal watchers have suggested the real reason for the move away from Kensington is that the couple want more privacy with their baby due. However, this wouldn't mark a break from royal tradition; rather, it would be a return to it.

Insiders said the Duchess's request to use the atomisers did not find favour with Buckingham Palace, which swiftly pointed out that the chapel was a regular place of worship for the Queen - as it had been for successive monarchs since 1475 - and if it was good enough for them, it would be good enough for her.

Kate and Meghan have rarely been seen together in public since the May wedding. Princess Diana followed in her footsteps, and in 1982 Prince William made history as the first direct heir to the British throne to be born in a hospital. Kate's two young children Prince George and Princess Charlotte also had important roles during the ceremony as they were part of the bridal party.

The speculation about their birth plan is hardly surprising; earlier this year, there were plenty of claims Duchess Catherine had her heart set on a home birth for Prince Louis, but the 36-year-old returned to the Lindo Wing.
