Sony Files New Game Cartridge Patent

The arcade game only came out in June this year.

Every month, PlayStation Plus subscribers wait eagerly for the next batch of free games from the service.

The holiday season may be officially starting next month but one of the highlights in the PlayStation Plus December 2018 free games lineup is a well-known sci-fi horror survival game. Players can destroy other players' vehicles, crush them and run them off the road. Regardless, it's hard to say no to free games. For the Xbox 360, the free games are Dragon Age II, which will be available December 1-15, and Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction, available December 16-31.

Sony Files New Game Cartridge Patent

For the PS3, subscribers will get access to Steredenn: Classic and Steins;Gate.

All games will be available from December 4, 2018 to January 1, 2019. Papers, Please, Iconoclasts will be available for PS Vita players, and PS3 gamers will be able to pick up both Steredenn and Steinsgate. Who was looking to play the original version of "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six" or "Syphon Filter", from before first-person shooters had camera controls? Iconoclasts is a 2D platformer featuring metroidvania elements where players take on the role of Robin, a mechanic thrown into battle against an evil religious organization known as the One Concern. Yes, you heard me right: for the first time in over 20 years, Sony will be pulling out of the biggest event in the industry's calendar year.

Talking about handheld consoles, Sony PlayStation Vita has not seen any support from the company for years now, neither we have heard anything related to the successor of the device. Perhaps each of these cartridges will have all the storage needed to run the game you are buying without filling up your internal drive.
