Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg taken to hospital after fall

WASHINGTON DC- AUGUST 10 Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court William Rehnquist administers the oath of office to newly-appointed U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg as U.S. President Bill Clinton looks on 10 August 1993. Ginsbur

Supreme Court Justice hospitalized after a fall at her office in Washington. She went home, but after experiencing discomfort overnight, went to George Washington University Hospital early this morning.

But Ginsburg, the court's oldest sitting justice, has consistently been adamant that she has had no intentions of retiring.

The next sitting of the Supreme Court begins on November 26, and Ginsburg's history suggests the injuries are not likely to keep her away.

Tests showed Ginsburg had fractured three ribs on her left side and she was admitted for observation and treatment.

A little over six years ago, Ginsburg fell while at the court as well, fracturing two ribs.

Since taking office, President Donald Trump has appointed two conservative justices to the court, shifting it to the right. Updates will be provided as they become available.

Ginsburg has grit and determination, and I only wish she applied that to upholding the plain text and original meaning of the Constitution, rather than toward twisting it to fit liberal Progressive pipe dreams.

Ginsburg joined the court in 1993.

But she has never missed Supreme Court arguments.

"I will retire when it's time", Ginsburg told NPR's Nina Totenberg in 2016.

That said, it would probably be healthy for her to resign.
