It's expected that Doria will receive an invitation to attend church with the royal family at Sandringham, the royal estate in Norfolk, England, where the royal family traditionally celebrates the holiday.

When the 92-year-old Monarch heard about it she told Doria she could come to Sandringham.

"It's a mark of the Queen's respect for Meghan and an acknowledgment that she doesn't have any other relations in this country - unlike Kate who has the support of a very close family", a source told the Express about the unusual invite.

A source added: "She has never been asked to join the royal household for Christmas, and she would love to be regarded as part of the royal family".

American social worker Doria was the only member of Meghan's family in attendance at her and Harry's wedding after Thomas Markle (74) was unable to walk his daughter down the aisle due to health reasons, The Sun reports.

She reportedly said she was "head over heels" with pride as Meghan helped prepare lunch for guests. "She has been to Meghan and Harry's home in the Cotswolds several times and she has stayed with them at Nottingham Cottage".

Meghan - who is thought to be around four months pregnant - wore the striking outfit during a walkabout in Rotorua on her last day in New Zealand with her husband.

As for what Doria can expect from the royal Christmas, things really are pretty normal over at the Windsors.

The royal family's Christmas dinner is going to look a little different this year thanks to one special addition.

The 11-a-side game is played at Castle Rising, near Sandringham, and the princes normally play on opposing teams - with Kate's brother James Middleton previously joining too.
