NECK AND NECK: Arizona Senate Race TIED Just 24 Hours Before Election Day

GOP Congressman Rod Blum faces disenchanted voters at a town hall meeting in May

Two races which are of particular interest are Georgia, where Democrat Stacey Abrams is seeking to become the first black woman to become governor of a USA state, and Florida, where Democrat Andrew Gillum is locked in a bitter battle with Republican and Trump acolyte Ron DeSantis. "And he doesn't want to take the risk of looking like he's trying too hard in the House, because then he may get blamed for losing there".

The US votes for a president in a general election every four years.

Democrats increasingly confident of a House takeover acknowledged their long odds in the Senate, yet refused to wave the white flag.

"We do have a path".

For Trump's rally Sunday night in Chattanooga, Tennessee, ahead of midterm elections, Greenwood appeared on stage to deliver the song in person.

Democrats need a net gain of 23 seats to take control of the House. They are also poised to make history with the number of LGBT candidates and Muslims up and down the ballot. More jobs are coming back.

Republicans are bracing for a likely loss of seats in the House of Representatives but are favored to hold on to the Senate. Nearly two-thirds of Republicans (64%) say immigration is extremely important to them, while that dips twenty points to 44% among Democrats.

With just a day to go for the polls, the caravan and the economy seem to have become the biggest issues for the nation, though there is some concern on healthcare for all, which the Democrats have been pushing as their main agenda.

This year, too, there is an unconventional president, the possibility of a change in power on Capitol Hill, and - the great hope of Democrats, the great fear of Republicans - the possibility that Mr. Trump's administration could face endless subpoenas, serious investigations and perhaps impeachment if the Republicans relinquish control of the House.

But in what could be a sharp warning sign for Republicans, that poll reported college-educated white women - the so-called suburban moms seen as crucial to the 2018 outcome - favor Democrats by a substantial 61 percent to 33 percent.

Democrats are being powered by African-Americans - 84 to 8 percent - Latinos - 57 to 29 percent - by voters between the ages of 18 and 34 - 57 to 34 percent - and women - 55 to 37 percent.

On the question of whom they would prefer to control Congress, Democrats drew 50 percent of likely voters to Republicans' 43 percent. "It's going to depend on voter turnout on Election Day. I think, in the next two days, the team, the side that gets the most turnout and handles the ground game appropriately and aggressively is going to be the one that wins", said Rep. Tim Ryan, Ohio Democrat, on Fox News' "Sunday Morning Futures" program.

When pressed on what Trump was doing by emphasizing Obama's middle name, Short replied: "I think we know what he's doing".

The president's critics say the highly charged atmosphere he has helped create made the two attackers feel sufficiently comfortable to carry out their crimes.

Bredesen says politics "is a blood sport - but I've come here to show that there are other ways to campaign and to present your case to the people of Tennessee".

Mr. Van Hollen said people have counted out Ms. Heitkamp before, only to regret it.

"It has closed", Republican pollster Bill McInturff told the Journal. "The map looks very good to us in about five or six different states".

Bredesen added that he's not running against Trump. Bob Corker, a Republican.

Trump's approval rating among all adults stands at 40 percent, holding steady from a poll in early October and slightly higher than his 36 percent rating in August.
