Google Pixel 3 XL gets horrifying second notch thanks to weird glitch

Night Sight on the Pixel 3 makes an incredible difference
Unlike other devices, though, Google'snotch on the Pixel 3 XL is quite large in comparison. While the former comes in a conventional design similar to Pixel 2, the latter comes with the typical "notch" which boasts two front-facing camera sensors along with the speaker grille.
In developer mode, users can also add notches to the right-hand top of the screen and the bottom of the screen.
Multiple users, including myself, have come across a bug that causes a side notch to appear on the Google Pixel 3 XL. But the one thing nearly everyone agrees on is the notch: the ugly cutout is the phone's worst feature.
If one large notch on your Pixel 3 XL wasn't enough, your phone might randomly choose to grow a second, virtual one. The glitch, which only seems to be happening to a few users, is pretty easy to get rid of - changing some developer settings or resetting the phone should do the trick, Android Police reports. Google is of course aware of the issue and promises a fix "soon".
Google is working on a software update for all Pixel phones after a rash of complaints about unsaved photos.
The glitch may sound like a (particularly cruel) prank or an incredibly far-fetched hoax, but the search giant behind the making of the divisive Pixel 3 XL has already confirmed it's a thing with a fix on the way.
