According to a new report from Bloomberg, Samsung has a prototype of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10 that doesn't have a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Citing people familiar with the matter, the publication adds that the South Korean company is already in talks with Verizon to launch its Galaxy S10 in the USA with a 5G wireless chipset, that will allow Samsung to secure support from the biggest US carrier in promoting the new wireless technology standard. According to Bloomberg, Samsung is said to be in talks with USA mobile retailer, Verizon Communications to unveil Galaxy S10 with a fifth-generation wireless chipset in the US.

There's no reasoning in the report for why Samsung is planning to drop the technology, but it's likely to free up more space for either a larger battery or some new features on the handset.

Samsung Galaxy J4 comes with a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution.

The cheaper version of the Galaxy S10 will not have a curved display but it may still be an OLED panel.

Android Pie on flagship Samsung phones will come with Samsung Experience 10, which will be a mashup of legacy Samsung style and Google's own styling in Android Pie. "Please stay tuned", Samsung told Bloomberg in a statement. The company might not introduce its foldable-screen phone until the second quarter next year, the report added.

"Samsung is debating between two prototypes in the final stretch: one longer horizontally and the other vertically when unfolded, while both open from side and side", the report says, noting that the landscape-oriented model has recently "fallen out of favor" with Samsung's designers.

Samsung has already confirmed its plans to share more information about its foldable smartphone codenamed "Winner" at its developer conference next month. It has an extra four-inch screen on the outside, allowing users to enjoy basic features - like checking emails and messages - without having to flip it open. As per the report, the display is coated with a film that is basically used in photography.

The most exciting detail from Bloomberg's report concerns the camera. The company is struggling to figure out technical problems that may arise during mass production including possibility of this foldable display cracking into dried paper. Samsung and Google have been working together to develop a special version of Android for this phone.
