The biggest fight in UFC history ended in absolutely astonishing circumstances as Khabib Nurmagomedov submitted the "Notorious" before leaping over the cage in T-Mobile Arena, sparking a mass brawl.

McGregor also said that "the war goes on" as he seemingly ramps up his campaign to book a rematch bout with Nurmagomedov.

He has already had his fight purse withheld - said to be $2 million - and UFC chief Dana White has said sanctions from the Nevada state authorities are likely.

He then turned back to the anger that fuelled his preparation for the fight and made his resounding victory a footnote by leaping out of the octagon and attacking a member of McGregor's team.

Sportsbook Bovada have released odds on McGregor's next fight in the UFC and the rematch with "The Eagle" is considered the favourite at -155 (13/20) while rematches against Nate Diaz and Jose Aldo have been given odds of +130 (13/10) and +900 (9/1) respectively. Once on Sunday, with the relatively harmless message, "Looking forward to the rematch".

McGregor's rivalry with Nurmagomedov was sparked when the Russian was seen on video slapping McGregor's teammate Artem Lobov in April, which led to McGregor attacking a bus full of UFC athletes and staff. I mean Khabib. We'll see how this thing plays out.

"Unfortunately, when you allow more and more B.S. during weigh ins and outside of fights, you only slap fighters on the wrist for acting like barbarians and then offer them bigger contracts and reward them for this behaviour".

"First of all, I want to say sorry to Nevada Athletic Commission and second to Vegas". This is not my best side. I don't want people talking shit about opponents, talking shit about fathers or religion. "I want to change the game, you can not talk about religion, about nationality". "He talked about my religion, he talked about my country, he talked about my father", he said in the post-fight conference, without answering any questions before leaving.
