Sen. Amy Klobuchar, who sparred with Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh at his Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Thursday over the issue of drinking alcohol, said Friday that if she were appearing before him in court and acted as he did toward her, "he would have thrown me out". "One saw a flash in the exchange with Klobuchar the same sense of entitlement, cruelty and lack of simple decency that Christine Blasey Ford allegedly experienced way back when, the memory seared in her brain of two obnoxious teens laughing at her ordeal".
He also told the committee, "If every American who drinks beer or every American who drank beer in high school is suddenly presumed guilty of sexual assault, it will be an ugly new place in this country".
Klobuchar added that Kavanaugh "didn't really answer the question" of whether he ever blacked out. Klobuchar continued. "That's not happened, that's your answer?"
"Just in case you are not aware...." one person wrote", Brett Kavanaugh likes beer".
Klobuchar said she does not know if Kavanaugh will be confirmed.
