Sanders says Democrats were ‘absolutely disgraceful’ and ‘exploited’ Kavanaugh, Ford

Fox News host Chris Wallace on Christine Blasey Ford’s testimony: ‘This is a disaster for the Republicans’
Many Democrats on the committee called for the FBI to launch an investigation into the allegations, which Ford says involves an incident when Kavanaugh allegedly assaulted her in the summer of 1982 but, like numerous Republicans on the committee, Sanders said such an investigation is unnecessary because "he's been through six separate background investigations".
Professor Christine Blasey Ford has given emotional testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee about her allegations of sexual assault against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. The network reports that Senate Judiciary Committee investigators placed a call to Kavanaugh about the accusations on September 25 and he denied the encounter.
Democrats have urged a delay to allow for an FBI investigation, a move backed late Thursday by the American Bar Association, which had earlier endorsed his nomination.
At the time of its endorsement, America Magazine's editors hailed Kavanaugh as the champion who could be the Supreme Court's fifth vote to overturn the ruling of Roe v. Wade, which legalized abortion in all 50 states.
In the editorial, it didn't say that it's beyond a doubt that Kavanaugh committed the assault Ford alleges.
Blasey Fordclaims Kavanaugh tried to rape her at a party in 1982 when he was a 17-year-old high school student and she was 15. "The Kavanaugh nomination process has been flawed from the beginning", he said, adding that Ford was credible and courageous.
"People have never questioned his judicial temperament and his decisions".
What I do know is that our system of justice affords a presumption of innocence to the accused, absent corroborating evidence. "There is no question that Judge Kavanaugh is qualified to serve on the Supreme Court, and in a different political environment, he would be confirmed overwhelmingly". "He is a fine husband, father, and friend-and a man of the highest integrity". The Supreme Court will start its next session on Monday.

Mike Zimmer on Everson Griffen: 'I've always loved Everson'
An officer told Tiffany Griffen that what she described wasn't enough to detain her husband for his own health and welfare. Asked by police why he went to Waynes' home, Griffen said that "God made me do it" and later agreed to go to the hospital.
