Samsung reveals Galaxy event for October promising '4x fun'

What does Samsung have in store? We'll find out next month. Samsung

Samsung Galaxy Even Invitation

What does Samsung have in store? Also, while it remains unclear what specific handset Samsung plans to unveil a few weeks from now, it is highly likely that the device in question is the next-generation Galaxy A series.

We don't have much to go on in the news feature text but Samsung says that the "newest Galaxy device is bringing more ways to express yourself than ever before".

The invite says "4x fun" too, but we don't now know exactly what that will refer to. From the phrasing it sounds like the fun has a lot to do with cameras and imaging. But noted tipster Ice Universe suggested weeks ago that a Samsung smartphone with four cameras could be launched in 2018.

Samsung hosting an event in October after launching the Galaxy Note 9 flagship only a month ago is out of tradition.

And yes, all the four cameras will be placed on the back side, clarifies the leakster upon questioning about the placement of the cameras.

Samsung has scheduled an event in Malaysia on October 11, where the company is expected to launch a new smartphone under its Galaxy lineup. Later it was asserted that this quad-camera device will not be the Galaxy F or S10.

Alternatively, Samsung could also be referring to 4X optical zoom for a new Galaxy phone.
