Kensington Palace has confirmed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be visiting New Zealand from 28 October to 1 November.

Afterward, they should be arriving in Nuku'alofa, Tonga for a brief visit, only to then return to Sydney and wrap up their tour in New Zealand.

Following a day in Dubbo, the pair will travel to Melbourne and back to Sydney for the Invictus Games - a Paralympics style event for defence veterans - which begin on October 20.

"I hope many New Zealanders will have the opportunity to see the Duke and Duchess as they visit some of our lovely provinces and national parks, and experience our hospitality".

While the newly minted Duchess of Sussex is protected by hordes of bodyguards as she goes about her new royal duties, including jet setting trips to Australia and tea with the Queen, her controversial father is in hiding and in fear for his life.

Their Royal Highnesses touch down in Wellington on October the 28th. Following Fiji, on October 25, they'll visit Nuku'alofa, Tonga, before heading back to Sydney, Australia, on October 26.

The couple have been busy carrying out royal engagements across the United Kingdom since they got engaged last November, and travelled to Dublin earlier in the summer.

Next, they'll head to Fiji, where they'll visit Suva and Nadi over two full days.

"Their visit will be an opportunity to promote the incredible achievements of Invictus athletes from around the world, and showcase Australian programmes promoting youth leadership, environmental and conservation efforts", he said in a statement on Monday.

"It shows we're still on the map and Harry and Meghan are here to see what Australia is all about", he told AAP.
