Google Pixel 3 XL leaks likely an elaborate ‘marketing stunt’, claims YouTuber

The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are no longer a secret, but Google has actually not yet officially confirmed the smartphones.

Whereas the Pixel 3 XL features quite a thick notch, the regular Pixel 3 features a much more sleek design with thin bezels (like Samsung's Galaxy S series and the Pixel 2 XL) instead of a notch for the front camera and a number of sensors.

Then last year's Google Pixel 2 was announced on Wednesday, October 4 - the exact same date as the original phone's debut. In one case, Google apparently asked to use a clip where the YouTube host in question specifically said that Google should "fire their design team" because Pixel 3 XL looks so awful.

We all know that "controlled" leaks are a thing - whereby a company will actively leak upcoming products or details about the products in a controlled manner in order to build hype around it prior to the release.

Google on Thursday sent out invitations to an October 9 event at which it is expected to unveil new models of its Android-powered Pixel smartphones.

The recent leak shows that the Pixel 3 has got some good features and also it hinted about the device's design as well as some basic specifications. The Youtuber relinquish his original theory and claimed that the Google will indeed release a notched Pixel 3 XL. There are a number of Pixel 2 XL units that are floating around in central Asia and Russian Federation after a batch of these phones was stolen from Ukraine. Out of the two, the interest in the Pixel 3 XL is high.

If these leaks are completely bluff or fake, what does the actual Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL look like? A Ukrainian tech blogger shared on his Telegram channel quick unboxing video and several photos of what he claimed to be "pre-production" unit of the Pixel 3 XL. We still have one month left before the Google's annual event so we might get to see the actually Pixel 3 XL or we might all be right all along and the Pixel 3 XL will come with a notch (fortunately or unfortunately). Interestingly, the phone is likely to stick with a single camera shooter on the back, similar to the Pixel 2 XL.
