Speaking to E! News, the 26-year-old singer said: "We talked nearly every day and I don't get a lot of friends who come into my life who I hit it off with so quickly".
In the latest episode of his podcast, The Shane Show, Powers opened up about Miller's battle with addiction.
Whether he was an addict or not, Shane explained, she was more than willing to go to hell and back to defend him. Rather, Powers says that the singer was "incredible" in her support of Miller during his struggles with addition.
"She was an unbelievably stabilizing force in his life, and she was deeply helpful and effective in keeping Mac sober, and helping him get sober". News about how, before his friend, MacMiller's death, he tried his hardest to help him become sober.

An autopsy on Miller has been completed, but a cause of death is still to be determined, pending toxicology results.
