OnePlus 6T will have an in-screen fingerprint sensor, OnePlus confirms

OnePlus 6T will include an in-display fingerprint reader
Note that the addition of a fingerprint reader behind the display panel will make the 6T thicker. The company has confirmed to Cnet that its upcoming smartphone will feature an in-display fingerprint scanner.
So, OnePlus' confirmation puts paid to that particular piece of speculation once and for all. While many leaks have emerged around OnePlus 6T, one of the most rumoured specification is that of the fingerprint scanner coming under the phone's screen.
In-screen fingerprint sensors have become more common on high-end devices of late, such as Huawei's Mate RS Porsche Design.
Leaked images of the alleged retail box of the phone suggested that the OnePlus 6T's design will be based on the Oppo R17 Pro with a waterdrop notch. Apple, meanwhile, isn't expected to add such sensors to the iPhone display.
