The Grease icon beat breast cancer over two decades ago, but previous year, she revealed the disease had returned, forcing her to postpone her An Evening With Olivia Newton-John tour.

Facing her third battle, the super star singer is remaining positive.

The Grease star has undergone radiation therapy for the new tumour at the base of her spine, and says she's also being aided by medical marijuana that her husband of 10 years, John Easterling, grows at the couple's ranch in Santa Barbara, California.

In her memoir, the "Summer Nights" singer says that she is relying on a mix of conventional and natural therapies to treat cancer and is now receiving photon radiation therapy.

Olivia was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992, which she overcame.

However, there was more heartache for the star when she was diagnosed with cancer in her shoulder in 2013, after she was involved in a minor auto accident.

Explaining why she chose not to go public with the diagnosis at the time, she told the program: "I thought "It's my life" and I just made a decision to keep it to myself".

"I thought, "it's my life", and I just chose to keep it to myself", she explained in the interview.

Sir Barry said: "I'm very, very sad to hear about it (the cancer returning) again, what we all thought she had defeated is still there". "But my husband's always there - he's always there to support me, and I believe I will win over it, and that's my goal".

Newton-John, who will turn 70 in a few weeks, was catapulted to fame when she starred opposite actor John Travolta in the high school musical "Grease".

"I'm one of millions in this fight ... in this journey", she said. As a result, she turned to her husband's Amazon Herb Company as well as the oncology team at her Melbourne Cancer and Wellness Centre throughout 2012. "There are other people out there doing much, much worse than me". Sunday Night looks back at Olivia's extraordinary career with the help of her dearest friends.

'I live in this handsome place. I have all the animals that I adore.

Asked how she's coping, Olivia admitted: "I have my moments, but I'm not going to have my moment here!" "I have nothing, really, to complain about", Olivia adds.
