Nokia 9 will likely feature five cameras on the back

Only time will tell and we'll make sure to keep you updated. The front sports a large display and there is a notch on the top that houses the front-facing camera and an earpiece.

It is to be noted here that the above information is based on the leaks and the formal design of the Nokia 9 could come with some changes. Just after a lot of series of new smartphones being launched every year, here is another advancement that was allegedly showing Nokia's smartphone step-up.

A leaked image hints that Nokia might buck the trend of dual rear cameras with a new five-shooter setup on its upcoming phone. We expect the "Zeiss" branding on the handset, given HMD's partnership with the camera brand.

Said phone appears to have five cameras and a flash on the back.

The new image has shown up on Chinese site ITHome, with the caption referring to it as the 5-camera Nokia 9.

While it is not clear what the goal of each sensor on the Nokia 9 will be, we can assume that it will do everything that existing phone cameras can do and then some.

We already know, Nokia's high image quality during the Java phone days. You can see that the camera set up is very different from what we have seen on the Nokia-brand phones so far, though the Zeiss optics branding is still present there. For power backup, it will get 3,900 mAh battery. Since there is no fingerprint sensor at the back, Nokia might go with an in-display fingerprint sensor. Earlier today, a prototype of the Nokia 9 has also surfaced in China with a similar design.

Preliminary reports talk about Nokia 9 sporting an iPhone X-like above the screen.

It also has an URL link, which takes us to ze.media, which we believe will broadcast the launch event.
