Man Utd transfer news Bayern Munich Jerome Boateng

The Premier League is back on Friday and the return of football will be very welcome after the non-stop speculation of the last few months.

Manchester United have reportedly bid on Bayern Munich's Jerome Boateng as they step up their interest ahead of the transfer window slamming shut.

Le Parisien claim Boateng has now decided where his future lies and will complete a move to PSG once Bayern reaches an agreement with the French champions.

As soon as Bayern and one of the interested clubs agree on the Boateng deal, a 2018 World Cup victor could soon join Bayern to fill the gap. According to reports, Bayern are looking for a fee of around €50 million.

The agent of Manchester United target Jerome Boateng is to hold talks with Paris Saint-Germain's sporting director on Thursday.

The possible departure of central defender Jerome Boateng is causing a controversial debate at Bayern Munich. However, several star names of the Bayern team are demanding that Boateng stays.

For Boateng's move to PSG to go through, the French outfit first need to sort out their Financial Fair Play issues before any type of deal can be agreed.

The world champion signed with Jay-Z's Roc Nation Sports, a sports agency branch of the rapper's Roc Nation business, which sees Boateng travel to the United States on numerous occasions.

Boateng also missed a number of games at the beginning of the 2017-18 season due to another hamstring problem. "He has to come back down to earth", Rummenigge had said.

Bayern face Eintracht Frankfurt away in the Super Cup on Sunday before the German Cup begins next weekend and they start the Bundesliga at home to Hoffenheim on August 24.
