"Thank you to Kanye West and the fact that he is willing to tell the TRUTH", Trump said in a tweet from his Bedminster, New Jersey, golf course Friday evening.

"On Jimmy Kimmel we had a great time having a dialogue", he tweeted.

Despite that one awkward moment, West said he was happy to be on Kimmel's show, especially because Kimmel wore Yeezy sneakers on the show. "Clark, let that new "XTCY " joint go! So". And it takes too much ownership, but you can replace pride with love.

West took to Twitter on Saturday, though, to say that he wasn't stumped, he "wasn't given a chance to answer the question".

'Let me clarify the click bait.

He added that the question had been so important he'd needed time to gather his answer. During the interview, Kimmel and West touched on a number of topics, including fashion, music, married life, and of course, Donald Trump.

In this December 13, 2016, file photo, then-President-elect Donald Trump and Kanye West pose for a picture in the lobby of Trump Tower in NY. "That interview showed strong personalities with different opinions having a civil conversation".

"Damn, those is your sisters / You did something unholy to them pictures", Kanye raps at another point in the song. "I'd get kicked out of the black community because blacks, we are supposed to have a monolithic thought, we can only be Democrats and all".

He also landed in hot water this May when he said slavery "sounds like a choice". And that's when you get these comments that just shoot out, nearly like Tourette's'. "I got four of them".

The song's artwork features West's wife Kim alongside the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner sisters at Kylie's recent 21st birthday party, which makes sense considering the song's opening bars.
