James Bond Producers Interested In Idris Elba To Play 007

Idris Elba has been the fan favourite to replace Daniel Craig as James Bond for years
During the conversation, Broccoli reportedly told Fuqua that "it is time" for a non-white actor to take the lead role, that she was certain it would "happen eventually", and that Elba was the front-runner.
Daniel Craig will be reprising his role as the spy in the next installment of James Bond, but bosses are now hinting that Idris Elba could be next to take up the mantel. But one name keeps coming up: Idris Elba. 'You need a guy with a physically strong presence.
Elba, 45, was rumored to be the next James Bond in 2014 following the hack into Sony Pictures' emails. The duo has written on every Bond film from the last 19 years ranging from The World is not Enough all the way up to 2015's Spectre, however, the studio opted for Hodge's script over the former's. Will Elba want to play it as much as everyone else wants him to?
Other Black British actors who have been linked with the part include John Boyega, and David Oyelowo (who has actually voiced the character in audiobook form).
He later lodged the idea of having a female Bond rather than another male. "Could be a woman, could be a black woman, could be a white woman, but I think, that character, everybody would like to see it have - do something different with it, why not?" Elba said when speaking with Variety.
THR also reached out to Elba's rep, who did not answer, although "a knowledgeable source" for the publication revealed that no one in the actor's group of confidants knows anything about a Bond consideration (or offer) simmering away at Eon Productions, the Hollywood home of Agent Bond.
