Check out DOOM Eternal's gameplay reveal below. Take on twice as many demons in DOOMEternal, including fan favorites from classic DOOM titles like the Archvile, Pain Elemental, and the Arachnotron.
QuakeCon 2018 is in full swing and we've not only gotten an fantastic new look at DOOM Eternal, but even more about the upcomingRage 2 shooter as well! This will be evolving a bit in Eternal, with a new "invasion" mode being added to the campaign. It was actually a series of debuts, with several extended gameplay clips showing off different parts of the game, and you can see them all in the video above starting at about the 1:16:20 mark. To help you keep up with all the new changes being made to Doom Eternal, we've compiled the biggest ones that you might've missed. Players can even team up as demons to form a Slayer hunting party. The Doom Slayer himself has also gotten a makeover for his armor. These include the Ballista, which fires an exploding bolt into enemies, and the Super Shotgun, which comes with a blade called the "Meat Hook" attached to the barrels. The demons are more elaborate, your guns are more malevolent and the worlds are, according to the developers, 10 times more detailed in terms of geometrics and texture fidelity than the last DOOM game.
Spacewatch: Firing up for a close encounter with the sun
Scorching, yes? But if all works as planned, the inside of the spacecraft should stay at just 85 deg F (29 deg C). With a carbon heat shield, the probe will travel to within six-point-one million kilometers of the sun's surface.
