Brad Pitt Fires Back at Angelina Jolie's Child Support Request

Brad Pitt claims he's paid Angelina Jolie more than $9M since split

Brad Pitt Says He Gave Angelina Jolie $9 Million Since Split

Pitt was investigated for possible child abuse after losing his temper in front of some of the children, but was later cleared of the allegations. The filing did not define or elaborate on what is meant by "meaningful" support.

Jolie's legal team had a few choice words for Pitt's filing as well.

Jolie filed for divorce in September 2016, ending two years of marriage and a 10-year romance that had made the pair one of Hollywood's most glamorous couples.

The update follows reports that Pitt's lawyers accused Jolie of "a thinly veiled effort to manipulate media coverage" after she accused him of being a deadbeat dad.

The actor has fought back in a USA court against his ex-wife's claim that he has not paid adequate child support for their six children.

In court documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight, Pitt's attorney stated, "Respondent has previously loaned Petitioner $8.0 million to assist her in purchasing her current residence and has paid over $1.3 million in bills for the benefit of Petitioner and the minor children". Yesterday, the Inquisitr shared that Jennifer Aniston reportedly feels bad for Pitt and all that he is going through. Now, a source tells ET that Jolie "just wants the marriage to be over".

"Jen is feeling frightful for the fight Brad is involved in over custody of the kids with Angelina".

A source went on to claim to UsWeekly that Jolie, who is now filming Maleficent 2 in London, had been forced to return to work making movies in order to cover the costs associated with raising her children. "Jen thinks it's shameful that Angelina can not be more mature, put the kids' needs first, and compromise with Brad on this important decision". The couple was only married for two years and in a recent interview with In Style, Aniston laughed off rumors that she and Pitt had recently gotten remarried. The two reportedly have an informal agreement, as she claimed in legal documents filed yesterday, but he's paid "way, way more" than what they originally agreed on.

Hopefully, Pitt and Jolie can figure things out for the sake of their children.
