Transfer: Manchester United in talks to sign Chelsea defender

09 August 2018, 06:29 | Charlene Valdez

It looks like Mourinho has moved on to another potential target as L'Equipe claim Manchester United have joined Everton in holding talks with Chelsea over a deal to sign Kurt Zouma.

Mina only joined Barca in January from Brazilian side Palmeiras.

Barcelona have found Gomes an escape after a torrid time with them.

Barcelona duo Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes are having their Everton medicals as the club prepare to announce three transfer deadline day signings.

The 23-year-old Colombia worldwide has also been touted as a target for Everton in recent days as the speculation about his future at Camp Nou continues.

The relationship between Barcelona and Everton is believed to be strong, with left-back Lucas Digne already moving to Goodison Park from the Nou Camp in this window.

The Frenchman, who has also been linked with a move to Everton, impressed on loan at Stoke last season but will struggle to force his way through a queue of central defenders now he is back with the Blues.

"It is one position and it is easy to understand how many we need in that position".

However, Chelsea did not want to sell the player to a direct rival and Everton appear to have won the race to sign the player.

While both stars are tipped to complete their moves before tonight's deadline, Mina is expected to move on a permanent deal and Gomes is expected to move on a loan deal.
