The most significant reveal in the trailer is the tease of the game's Blackout mode.

The new Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 beta trailer was released overnight, confirming some of the previously revealed information.

This will be a hefty beta, too, with ten Specialists playable in six maps and across five game modes.

The Call of Duty series is one of those video game juggernauts that just doesn't stop slaying.

The game will launch on October 12.

PC players will have their own open beta which will take place from 6pm on Saturday, August 11 until Monday at 6pm, August 13.

Players will get their first chance to try out the Black Ops 4 battle royale mode in the Blackout private beta, which is coming in September.

Many users are wondering if XBox Live Gold and PlayStation Plus membership is a requirement for Call of Duty Black Ops 4 BETA. The betas for Black Ops IIII are staggered from platform to platform and will be going live at different times for each console and PC, so we've written the guide below to help you figure out what's on offer when, and where. If you ordered at a retailer then you'll have to use a code on the official website to redeem the Private MP beta.

PS4 players will be the first to be able to access the first beta test.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 multiplayer beta kicks off on PlayStation 4 at the end of this week, and Activision is whooping up the crowd with a trailer trumpeting that very fact. All you will need is a Battle.net account to access it, but those who pre-purchase will also get a full extra day and can start on the Friday night.
