A release date is not yet known, however, our friends over at Xdadevelopers have speculated that the game will debut on Android in the launch event that will be held for Samsung Galaxy Note 9 on Aug 9.

Stay tuned to receive the latest updates on the premium mobile games availability!

Fortnite Mobile will be supported by about 40 Android devices at launch and these include most recent smartphones by Google, Samsung, Huawei, and more. In concrete terms, if Epic Games did not distribute Fortnite Mobile on Android via the Google Play Store, it would avoid giving up 30% of sales to Google, because applications distributed on the Play Store must use billing via the Google Play application. Despite being the most popular game, its creators had kept it away from Android, the world's most popular platform powering over billion active devices.

Fortnite Mobile on Android may not be available on the Google Play Store. Instead, it is believed to offer the game as an APK download file directly from its servers. Scrolling through YouTube feed would have already shown you a ton of videos that start with Fortnite and often lead you to download bad apps or games.

Toy manufacturer McFarlane Toys has announced that the company will be partnering with Epic Games to produce a line of items based on Fortnite. If that is indeed the case, Android users will need to switch on the ability to download content from unknown sources, something that some Android users might not be willing to do.

Epic Games has tweeted out saying there will be no downtime for their update this morning.

The same lines in the code were also featured in some instructional images that XDA Developers say were shared by a Redditor with the username of /u/thesbros. Thanks to a Redditor by the name /u/thesbroswho ran the source and got the following images to be displayed on the webpage.

Ever since it launched on iOS back in March Fortnite fans have waited patiently for the blockbuster game to finally become available on Android.
