Thomas played in just 15 games with the Cleveland Cavaliers this past season and was eventually sent via trade to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Thomas was rumored to be looking at a few teams.

The two-time All-Star guard has agreed to a one-year, $2 million deal with the Denver Nuggets, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported Thursday night. At the very least, the Nuggets - which desperately needed another point guard behind Jamal Murray - hope that will end up being the case.

He guided the Celtics in the 2017 Eastern Conference finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers before he was sidelined due to the hip ailment. Instead, he'll be playing for the veteran's minimum. According to ESPN, Thomas accepted the deal - apparently in lieu of other significant offers - where he will play for Michael Malone, who coached him with the Sacramento Kings from 2013 to 2014.

The report states the deal is for the league's veteran minimum.

Thomas is recovering from arthroscopic hip surgery.

Now Thomas joins a Nuggets roster that had three guards average at least 15 points last season. Center Nikola Jokic, one of the most unique players in the National Basketball Association, is the team's lead facilitator from the middle, kicking to wings like Gary Harris, Will Barton, and Jamal Murray. The following year he started off in Phoenix before getting traded to Boston.
