Zsa Zsa an English bulldog who won the title of"World's Ugliest Dog in California last month died Monday night in her sleep
Zsa Zsa, a rescued English bulldog with a nasty underbite and dangling tongue that earned her the title of "World's Ugliest Dog" last month, died Tuesday.
She spent give years of jer life at a puppy mill in Missouri before being rescued by a non-profit organisation called Underdog Rescue, and was then adopted by Ms Brainard.
Megan Brainard, a resident of Anoka, Minnesota, brought her home after seeing her photo on a pet adoption website and named her after the Hollywood star Zsa Zsa Gabor. The dog's owner Megan Brainard of Anoka, Minnesota, had received $1,500, a trophy and visit to NY for the win, reported USA Today.
Zsa Zsa, the World's Ugliest Dog, has died just a month after winning the title. Soon after, the Brainards found her on PetFinder.com. There, she took home first prize: a trophy, $1,500 in prize winnings, and the hearts of everyone. No pooch could beat out 9-year-old English bulldog "Zsa Zsa", with an exceptionally droopy tongue.
Zsa Zsa won the 30th annual contest in the San Francisco Bay Area on June 23. "She never really showed much excitement but yes, she was definitely living it up after she won". Despite her dog's appearance, Brainard proudly boasted, "She is so attractive in my eyes".
