The long-running Jack Wilshere's connection to Arsenal seems to be over with the English midfielder set to join West Ham United on Monday as the midfielder undergone a medical at the London side.

Pellegrini, who has already signed another former Arsenal player Polish goakeeper Lukasz Fabianski and young French defender Issa Diop for a reported £12 million ($16 million, 13.5million euros), is on the brink of bringing in Ukrainian global forward Andriy Yarmolenko, who will cost a club record fee of about 20m euros from German side Borussia Dortmund.

"It feels good, it feels special", he told the club's official website. "The manager [convinced me],..."

His move was officially confirmed by the club.

Wilshere said he did not have to think twice when he learned of Pellegrini's interest which made him join the east Londoners.

It has been claimed that Anderson already has an agreement on personal terms with West Ham.

"I've got good memories of my childhood supporting West Ham, watching them at Upton Park".

"The fans, of course - everyone knows how big West Ham's fanbase is - and especially in this new Stadium".

West Ham United will reportedly listen to offers of more than £15m for Michail Antonio, while two other midfielders may also be offloaded.

Wilshere, 26, has struggled with injuries in recent years but enjoyed one of his most consistent seasons for some time during the last campaign and Pellegrini feels he will prove to be an astute signing for West Ham.

Wilshere parted ways with the Gunners after his contract expired last month. "Jack is a player with vast experience and quality at the highest level, having played all of his career in the Premier League".

However, the 28-year-old failed to get into Gareth Southgate's final 23, despite scoring 35 times in 77 appearances for his country.
