Williams is on Centre Court
Federer took his tally of consecutive sets won on London's hallowed lawns to 32 with a 6-0 7-5 6-4 dispatch of risky French left-hander Adrian Mannarino.
Federer has now won 32 consecutive sets at SW19, leaving him just two short of his best run in the tournament, achieved across 2005 and 2006.
When asked if he was anxious about Sunday's World Cup final in Russian Federation clashing with the Wimbledon men's singles final, Roger Federer couldn't help but laugh. I didn't play on grass for a whole year. "Facing Roger again will be something fantastic".
"I actually did get a bit emotional that I was in the last 16 of a Grand Slam that I have been dreaming of winning one day", Tsitsipas said. "That's the point. It's about being smart, no?" Three-time champion Djokovic, seeded 12, will face Japan's 24th seed Kei Nishikori for a place in the semi-finals. Djokovic reached his 41st career major quarterfinal, tying Jimmy Connors for second all time. If he beats Milos Raonic, seeded 13, he would play either his compatriot John Isner - 10 years older than him but still hungry for success - or the youngest player left in the draw, the 19-year-old rising Greek star Stefanos Tstitsipas.
Since he exited Wimbledon at the first-round stage past year, Anderson has enjoyed a solid return, making four finals, including his deep run at the US Open where he finished runner-up to Rafael Nadal. It is the first time in Wimbledon history not one of the top 10 women's seeds have reached the quarterfinals. Even at 36 years old, Federer seems to be toying with opponents when he's on the court. That it happened to be in straights, it helps me for the season and to save energy for the rest of the tournament.
Anderson is yet to win a set in four previous meetings with the Swiss maestro but in the three years since they last met he has developed his all-round game to such an extent that he reached last year's U.S. Open final, losing to Rafael Nadal.
With Kevin Anderson taking nearly three and a half hours to tame French showman Gael Monfils in the previous match, Djokovic knew he had about two hours of daylight left if he wanted to avoid coming back on Tuesday's rest day to finish off the contest. He edged Gael Monfils 7-6 (4), 7-6 (2), 5-7, 7-6 (4), to whom he held a 0-5 head-to-head record entering the match. Anderson admitted his triumph against Monfils, which lasted over 3½ hours, was demanding, and as a result he will train lightly Tuesday, focusing more on recovery and plotting his game plan to tackle Federer.
The victor of that clash will take on either Japan's 24th seed Kei Nishikori or unseeded Ernests Gulbis.
The world number one and reigning French Open champion also extended his grand slam streak to 11 matches to book an appointment on Wednesday with either Argentine fifth seed Juan Martin del Potro or veteran Frenchman Gilles Simon.
