Jazz wrap up local Summer League with win over Hawks

Allen and fellow rookie Trae Young were involved in a minor wrestling match Thursday night during a game between Utah and Atlanta in the finale of the Jazz's summer league series in Salt Lake City.

At this juncture, the Hawks brass, led by GM Travis Schlenk and Head Coach Lloyd Pierce, who is coaching the team with a glint in his eye, should be looking to develop talent and gauge the skill level of the players they selected. As Young rose to shoot, he and Allen hooked arms.

"That's not the first time Grayson has gotten tangled up with someone", Young said after the game, "but it's not the first time and last time I'm going to get tangled up with someone".

Allen, a first-round draft pick by the Utah Jazz, tripped players a few times in college and it became a topic of national conversation. Eventually all players on the floor became implicated as referees intervened at the behest of National Basketball Association rules. Allen and Young were each assessed a technical foul, and Allen also was charged with a personal foul.

In that same vein, when his point guard Trae Young got into a scuffle with vaunted instigator Grayson Allen, Spellman jumped into action and looked ready to start laying dudes out. "I'm a physical player".
