Xbox One July update lets you start playing games faster

Xbox One's fast-loading feature rolls out today
Why it matters: Digital game downloads are convenient, but they aren't ideal.
July Xbox update releases today, Microsoft confirmed. The update will include "FastStart", which is a feature created to address one of the biggest frustrations of modern gaming: Being forced to wait for your titles to download before you can play them.
According to Xbox, the point of FastStart is to give you the information you need to get to the game immediately, and not get stuck on the main menu while you wait for the download to finish.
This month's update introduces a variety of features and enhancements, such as FastStart for select titles, new Mixer options, Pins enhancement with Groups, new search options and more. It does this by identifying and prioritising the files that are needed to get stuck into a game sharpish, ensuring they are downloaded first.
The catch is that the feature is only available right now on certain English-language titles in the Game Pass catalog. You can group together whatever you'd like, assign custom names, reorganize your groups, and assign them to Home.
You can now group your games and apps and the search has been improved and you can press Y anywhere on the dashboard to bring up the search dialog. Mixer can now work with full screen broadcasting for webcams - JOY. Someone's holding a PlayStation 4 controller instead of an Xbox One controller.
New leaderboards will show which viewers who have contributed to a streamer's channel the most. Since then, they've added a lot of content like duo mode and cosmetics - what we've come to expect from other battle royale games - and a skill-based matchmaking system that lets you play with other players that match your level.
