For Marvel fans who happen to be barbecuing for the fourth of July, why not incorporate Ant-Man and The Wasp into your outdoor festivities?

"The villain in that movie felt like a bit of a vestige from the era in which that project was started, [which was] around the time of Iron Man one, where you have an antagonist who has a similar power set [as the hero]". It's a fun bit, and it harks back to an earlier age in the MCU, when a Marvel hero's biggest concern could be staying out of trouble with the law. That may be a knock against it for those hoping for some answers, but this movie's tone is much lighter as a result, perfectly in line with the original Ant-Man's.

Ant-Man and the Wasp releases first in Australia on July 5, in the USA on July 6, and in the United Kingdom on August 3. However, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 bucked that trend with a whopping five end-credits scenes, while Avengers: Infinity War went old-school with just one. It gets a little exhausting, but the movie is self aware about its own ridiculousness; at one point, Scott asks Hank and his colleague Bill Foster (Laurence Fishburne) whether they just stick the word "quantum" in front of everything to make it sound more scientific. Fans seemed to be most curious about Lilly's work on Lost, while John-Kamen's questions were mostly aimed at her recent work. In fact, Lilly, whose character becomes the superheroine Wasp, is Marvel Studios' first female superhero to get her name in the movie title.

As always, there's more in our exclusive interview with Paul Rudd, including his kids' reactions to having a dad as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

That puts Ant-Man and the Wasp significantly ahead of Ant-Man's $57 million debut.

After April's over-the-top epic "Avengers: Infinity War", Marvel also downsized the story for "Ant-Man and the Wasp", focusing on a small group of characters and a quest to reunite with Hope's mother.
