Trump says he is considering two women for Supreme Court - Philly

President Trump was back for more Twitter fun on Saturday afternoon, renewing his early morning thoughts with a new round of tweets.

In an interview with Fox News host Maria Bartiromo, Trump said his advisers have told him he should not ask anyone on his potential list of Supreme Court nominees whether they would overturn Roe v Wade, the 1973 decision that effectively legalized abortion in the United States.

Headlines this week were dominated by news that Justice Anthony Kennedy, a swing vote on the Supreme Court, will retire next month and that a man has been charged with killing five people at the Capital Gazette newsroom in Annapolis.

According to the Post, Trump wants a nominees who is "extraordinarily well qualified" and who earned their degree at an Ivy League university-namely Harvard or Yale.

Secondly, the adviser told The Post that the nominee can not be "weak", and must demonstrate the wherewithal to resist "the political and social fashions of the day".

Trump, however, described his group of candidates as "highly talented, very brilliant, mostly conservative judges". I have been really impressed with how he conducted this process.

"We have to pick a great one", Trump said at a North Dakota rally on Wednesday.
