In cardiology, heart surgery and pulmonology, it was Texas Children's Hospital that topped the rankings while Children's National Medical Center was found to be the best in neonatology.

The Children's Hospital ranked in cancer (No. 45), cardiology and heart surgery (No. 24), and nephrology (No. 46) in the 2018-2019 rankings.

"As Guardians of Childhood we count on our team for the brightest medical minds, the most compassionate care, and the latest and most innovative treatment options for children, " says Joan Magruder, hospital president. Each specialty ranks the top 50 programs in the country.

Other hospitals that made the top 10 honor roll are Children's Hospital Los Angeles, Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, Johns Hopkins Children's Center in Baltimore, Children's Hospital Colorado in Aurora, and Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago.

"This year, St. Louis Children's Hospital expanded to add more beds and private rooms throughout the hospital, which includes 125 beds in our Newborn Intensive Care Unit", said F. Sessions Cole, MD, a Washington University neonatologist and director of newborn medicine and chief medical officer for St. Louis Children's Hospital.

The rankings looked at 10 different categories and identified the 50 best pediatric facilities in those categories. TeleMSE, a medical screening evaluation program, allows physicians to work remotely with ED staff to help triage patients in a timely manner, allowing patients to be seen by specialists faster and more efficiently.

"Children's Hospital of Wisconsin continues to provide an unmatched depth and breadth of care in Wisconsin".

The full rankings and methodology are available at USnews.com.

For the 12th year in a row, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital ranks in more pediatric specialties than any other NY metro area hospital in U.S. News & World Report's "Best Children's Hospitals". A member of BJC Healthcare, St. Louis Children's Hospital follows one simple mission - to do what's right for kids. "Children with life-threatening or rare conditions need the level of quality care that these hospitals deliver day after day".
