Royal family watch a fly past as they appear on the balcony of Buckingham Palace after attending the annual Trooping the Colour Ceremony in London

Among her royal commitments is her upcoming first solo public duty alongside the Queen.

Prince Harry reportedly responded saying "yes.", before smiling and adding, "When you get into it, I'll tell you more later".

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will visit Australia, Fiji, the Kingdom of Tonga, and New Zealand in a tour to coincide with the Invictus Games which will be held in Sydney from October 20 to 27.

The newlywed Duke and Duchess of Sussex have only just returned from their short honeymoon and appeared on the balcony and in the carriage procession during Trooping the Colour last weekend.

Considering how the royal family usually dresses to these kinds of functions, some people were not pleased with Markle's outfit, which also consisted of a Philip Treacy hat that she'd previously worn to a garden party days after her wedding.

For Drum Major Steve Staite, who has taken part in Trooping the Colour at least 26 times - 17 as drum major, something the Army claim is a world record - this year's Queen's birthday parade carries extra significance. She has attended the last 66 Trooping parades.

The Duke and Duchess' attendance of the 2017 games in Toronto, Canada, where the couple watched the wheelchair tennis, was their first public appearance.

"I don't envy Meghan Markle's life, because it seems like she's now trapped in a bubble with sooooo many rules and regulations on etiquette".

The lip-reader, who studied the newly married couple during the balcony appearance, decoded the words they shared, revealing that Meghan confessed she was apprehensive about the appearance.

Harry and Meghan are following in the footsteps of Harry's parents in their first confirmed overseas tour.

Harry and Meghan were pictured riding in a carriage together, where the new Duchess had the opportunity to show-off her royal wave, and then joined her new in-laws on the balcony for the first time to watch the RAF flypast.

The royal pair will open a theatre and science discovery centre after journeying overnight from London on Wednesday. Prince George (4) and Princess Charlotte (3), both attended the event without their newborn brother Prince Louis who is just 6 weeks-old.
