'Much has been made of Arsenal's hard start to the season, with the Gunners facing Manchester City and Chelsea in Unai Emery's first two games in charge, but which Premier League side has the toughest start?

Italy failed to qualify for the first time since 1958, being the only one of eight teams to have won the competition who won't compete in Russian Federation.

Emery has succeeded Arsene Wenger, who left Arsenal after 22 years in charge. 1-0 to Russian Federation just 12 minutes in.

As for the rest of the opening day itinerary, it looks like this...

The first Manchester derby (City at home) is on November 10th.

Three cities on the West Coast were chosen as potential host sites for the 2026 World Cup: Seattle, Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area.

The first Manchester derby of the season is scheduled for November 10 at the Etihad Stadium, and the reverse will take place on March 16 at Old Trafford.

Last season's encounters ended in a victory apiece with both sides claiming victories in their neighbours' own back yard. That list will be narrowed over the next two years, as Federation Internationale de Football Association and the United Bid Committee analyze the economic and logistical viability of each candidate.

As is traditional, the month of December presents gifts of games galore.

The Englishmen's first match of the World Cup kicks off on 18 June, when they take on Tunisia.

There's a midweek clash as we travel to Watford on 4 December before facing Chelsea at Stamford Bridge the following weekend (8 December).

And the Spaniard has been given a testing opening to Premier League management. That includes trips to Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham.

This is the way that so many modern managers aspire to play, and when they watch the best teams in the world it is easy to see why. We are excited about the season ahead and making the new stadium our new home.

Fulham begin with London derbies against Crystal Palace and Tottenham, while Cardiff follow their opener at Bournemouth with a home game against Newcastle.
