Daemon X Machina brings mech-based combat to Switch
14 June 2018, 08:26 | Jodi Jackson
The trailer shows us controlling a Gundam-like mech and fighting some pretty sizeable mech bosses in a post-apocalyptic world.
Opening Nintendo's pre-recorded conference at E3 was Daemon X Machina, a new game that sports high-octane mech action. Players fly through the air, dodging bullets while shooting enemies both big and large in a highly stylized world. Directors Ken Awata and Ken Karube previously worked on Monster Hunter: Stories and a few other fantasy games, but this will be their first time working on something more firmly in the science fiction realm.
Tsukuda and his team have approached this brand new game with the goal of making it "the best mech action game" out there.
Nintendo announced today that a game called Daemon X Machinima will be released for Switch.
The game also includes acclaimed designers Shoji Kawamori from Armored Core 2 and 3 and producer Kenichiro Tsukuda from the same games. Nakatsuru did the music for Soulcalibur games and Hamamoto for the Tekken series previously.
Daemon X Machina showcases a multitude of different mechs to control and combat enemies of various sizes.
