Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says he fully supports Donald Trump's efforts to get North Korea to relinquish its nuclear arsenal, but he won't respond to the USA president's latest barbs directed at Canada. "I own that; that was my mistake, my words". "That's what weak, dishonest Justin Trudeau did, and that comes right from Air Force One".

"I have made it very clear to the president that it is not something we relish doing, but it is something that we absolutely will do, because Canadians, we're polite, we're reasonable, but we also will not be pushed around", Mr. Trudeau said during a press conference Saturday after Mr. Trump had already left the summit.

At the G-7 summit, Trudeau doubled down and said, "Canadians will not be pushed around".

Mr. Trump has threatened to bring down a 25-per-cent tariff on all Canadian-made cars and trucks, which would hit four times more exports and jobs than the metals tariffs.
