Maybe Frank Warren was wrong about Anthony Joshua's next fight after all

Both fighters fought in March, with Wilder defeating Luis Ortiz in a thrilling, come-from-behind fight where he was almost finished, while Joshua scored a lackluster win on the scorecards over Joseph Parker.

One key demand of Joshua's was to have the clash in the United Kingdom, after Wilder had offered the IBF, WBA (Super) and WBO champion $50million to come to America.

Finkel, who said he and Wilder co-manager Al Haymon talk daily and are on the same page, said the offer Wilder accepted is a two-fight deal with terms agreed to for a rematch that would take place in the United States.

"We've got to get to the bottom of it today, but one thing I can tell you is that by the end of this week Deontay Wilder will have a contract in front of him and we'll see if he's real", said Hearn.

"The $50M offer for him to fight me next in the United States is still available", Wilder said.

That offer did not meet the requirements of Joshua and Hearn, with the duo edging towards a fight against Russian contender Alexander Povetkin in recent days.

"We've had some great nights with [Carlos] Takam and [Wladimir] Klitschko and [Joseph] Parker and he wants to make sure that this history-making fight takes place in the UK".

"It's obviously the fight we want". We see this as a Wembley fight and we're quite limited in that respect, obviously American pay-per-view and TV have to be considered so we've got to speak to them about what date suits them.

"But either way, he's going to be getting a contract from us ASAP".

Another possible outlet is the Perform Group's DAZN sports streaming service, which is due to launch in the US later this summer, with Hearn's recently agreed to eight-year, $1 billion deal to provide boxing content due to begin in September. It's up to them to choose USA or UK.

The WBC champion, Wilder is 40-0 with 39 knockouts.

Joshua wants to continue fighting on home soil and believes he is the A-side of negotiations because he owns three of the major world titles. "If it is before Povetkin, then it runs on October or November". Currently, Joshua is a -200 favorite and Wilder a +170 underdog.
