Royal Family during Trooping the Colour

His wife the Duchess of Cambridge took their eldest children Prince George and Princess Charlotte out to support their royal dad as he participated in the game at Beaufort Polo Club in Gloucestershire on Sunday, June 10.

However, several people on Twitter have shared their outrage as one of the toys Prince George was playing with was a toy gun.

However, there was one element of the Sunday summer scene which seemed out of place: Prince George, 4, was spotted wielding a rather realistic toy gun.

"People are complaining because Prince George had a plastic gun".

Her mum, the Duchess of Cambridge, who often likes to coordinate Charlotte's outfits with hers, was also wearing a summery frock.

While Charlotte left us gushing over how adorable she looked even while crying, after she fell from the bench on the Buckingham Palace's balcony, one can not ignore Prince George's naughty antics.

The fun-loving princess has been showing off her playful side recently, waving to crowds while meeting her baby brother Prince Louis at the Lindo wing, and while fulfilling her bridesmaid duties during uncle Prince Harry's wedding to Meghan Markle.

Kate, dressed in a light blue Zara dress and Russell & Bromley wedges, kept a watchful eye on the children, consoling a tearful George at one point.

Charlotte attempted headstands and pranced around the grounds, much to the amusement of her mother, who could be seen having a hearty laugh while her daughter was upside down. Charlotte was also pictured peering into her mom's purse.

Autumn Phillips and her children, Savannah and Isla, joined the royals. The comfortable dress made it possible for Kate to chase the kids and keep them from running onto the polo field.

Over the course of the day, the little royals could be seen playing with a huge slinky, a miniature golf set, arts and crafts and the controversial toy gun.
