Mumbai: Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor has penned an emotional note and words of encouragement for his step sister Janhvi Kapoor, the trailer of whose maiden film "Dhadak" is releasing on Monday.
The movie is a remake of wildly popular Marathi film Sairat. From Alia Bhatt and Preity Zinta to Anil Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor, celebs took to Twitter to hail the lead actors and the team of Dhadak.
Directed by Shashank Khaitan, of Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania fame, and produced by Dharma Productions and Zee Studios, Dhadak hits theatres on July 20th.
However, when Janhvi was asked by a journo on how she'd like to dedicate Dhadak to her late mother, veteran actress Sridevi. The young actress also revealed that one acting tip her mom strongly recommended, she said, "The biggest and most helpful tip she (Sridevi) has given me, is to work hard and feel every emotion and that's what I've tried to do".
On whether her father, producer Boney Kapoor, gave her a piece of advice for her first film, the 21-year-old said, "He didn't give any tips but he has given me a lot of love and support, which is far more important". He had written, "Tomorrow you will be part of the audience forever #JanhviKapoor cause your trailer comes out..." Firstly, sorry I'm not there in mumbai but I'm by your side, don't worry. "It's not going to be easy but I know you are ready for all the madness that will ensue", the Mubarakaan actor wrote. She wrote, " Janhvi Kapoor replied to this heartwarming message with, "I'll make you'll proud I promise".
