Captain Spirit is a new Life is Strange spin-off that you can play for free later this month

The Awesome Adventures Of Captain Spirit Arrives June 26, 2018 (Update)

Life is unusual, an episodic series, launched in 2015.

Captain Spirit is being developed by Dontnod Entertainment, and its art direction is directly reminiscent of Life is odd.

The studio desires to tell "many more stories" in the Life is unusual universe and says that Captain Spirit is just the first step in showing fans the true potential of the universe alongside showing "the possibilities of a diverse universe filled with interesting characters and stories to tell". Players assume the role of a 10-year-old boy called Chris. He loves his toys and has a big imagination that takes him on all sorts of adventures, but today is not one of his usual adventures, today something truly extraordinary will happen to him.

If you've not given the series a try yet (and you really should) this is a "perfect entry point", although there will be "nods to Life is unusual 1".

Video game stories from other sites on the web. The new game has been developed alongside Life is unusual 2, but while it might only be a spin-off from the upcoming title, your choices in this game will have an impact elsewhere. You will most likely see and discover new content on subsequent playthroughs which you might have previously missed. Due out on 26th June as a free PlayStation 4 download, the standalone narrative adventure has been developed in conjunction with Life Is Strange 2, and serves as an introduction to the sequel's universe.
