The much awaited follow up to 2005's Kingdom Hearts II finally got a release date! This is the latest entry in this long-running series which has been mostly exclusive to Nintendo and PlayStation systems up until now.

Fans have been waiting for what feels like an eternity to see when Kingdom Hearts III would be coming out. The official announcement was made on Square Enix's Twitter.

Still, it's good to finally have a date; Kingdom Hearts 3 was announced nearly five years ago to the day, so it's been a long time coming.

Square Enix debuted a new trailer for Kingdom Hearts III during Microsoft's E3 2018 press conference confirming a world based on the Pixar film Frozen for the game. Check out Sora's new Keyblade's transformations as he battles against the Heartless! Since then, multiple trailers have been released with more information about worlds, characters, and story. This trailer's too cool to just let it go.

TechRadar is reporting live from E3 in Los Angeles this week and we'll be bringing you more news and hands-on impressions of Kingdom Hearts 3 very soon.
