If we were to follow last year's timetable, we might have to wait until October for the Pixel 3 XL to be released.

The Pixel 3 leaks bonanza continues with new revelations about Google's next-gen flagship phones.

Aside from these, the Pixel 3, specifically the Pixel 3 XL, is expected to support a taller than usual notch. The leaked images show the notch cutout on top of the display which houses the earpiece and front camera lens.

There has been quite a bit of scuttlebutt surrounding what the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will look like when they ship later this year and there have already been some questionable leaks that claim to show what we can expect when that happens. It will most probably be the Pixel 3 XL, while the Pixel 3 is expected to boast of the Pixel 2-like design from both front and back. This feature is known as Edge Sense on HTC's U11+ and U12+ but is also available on the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. Before that happened, however, he alleged that the smartphone vibrated when he squeezed it and determined that Active Edge was present.

After taking a closer look at the Android P developer preview, XDA Developers found "WakeMode" class within the SystemUIGoogle APK that was modified. Crosshatch and Blueline are the alleged codenames of the Pixel 3 smartphones. It is a squeeze gesture in Pixel 2 which lets users open Google Assistant, snooze alarm, and also silent incoming calls just by squeezing the sides of the phone.

According to xda-developers, which talked to the xda senior member meraz9000 who first published the Pixel 3 images, the phone "likely has a glass back", as the case is "definitely not plastic or metal", according to him. Further, the folks over XDA are also suggesting that Google is looking forward towards building a glass back. The "window" of the phone will have a glossy finish while the rear panel may have a matte finish.
