Unravel 2 leaked ahead of EA’s E3 show after ESRB rating spotted
A friend can take control of the second yarn-thing for some co-op fun, or it can latch onto your back if you want to play solo. Despite the game having a big multiplayer focus, it can now only be played in local multiplayer. All of the puzzles have been designed for two Yarnys to solve, so players can alternate between their two characters when playing by themselves.
As with the first game, Unravel 2 focuses on the adventures of Yarny, a small, woolen toy. Now, Unravel 2 has an ESRB rating that hints at co-op, which wasn't in the original.
Its description specifically notes that "players control a pair of fantastical creatures called Yarnys as they navigate environments". Players traverse platforms and avoid hazards by swinging from yarn lassos; some areas contain animals that chase/menace the player's characters. We're going to be providing live coverage of every major PC-relevant conference, plus previews of all the biggest games straight from the show floor, including hands-on impressions and interviews with the developers who made them.
The full game is available now for download on PS4, Xbox One, and PC for $19.99.
