Record number of mail ballots could delay primary results

The VCA requires the opening of vote centers, where voters can drop off voted ballots, register to vote and vote conditionally that same day and - any voter can vote in person up to the close of polls on election day.

Statewide results: This will open a new browser tab and take you to the California Secretary of State's election site for the latest statewide results for primary contests for California governor, lieutenant governor and other state offices, U.S. Senate and U.S. House, state Senate and Assembly races and state ballot measures.

Just over half - 51 per cent - cast ballots in 2014, a slight uptick from the 48 per cent who did in 2011, which are the two lowest turnout rates in Ontario election history. According to Elections Canada, over 1.9 million Ontarians voted orange, giving them 33.56 per cent of the vote.

"Everyone that is on the list of electors should have received a card, but if you didn't, that's OK, we'll still make it easy for you to get a ballot", said Julio Gomes.

The election also saw a huge shift in power for Andrea Horwath's New Democrats. That's roughly 13 per cent of the total ballots cast.

Voters in Ottawa-Vanier should double-check where their polling location is after incorrect information was inadvertently sent to voters by the campaign team of Liberal candidate Nathalie Des Rosiers.

"The votes will be counted after election officials verify the voter registration and confirm the voter has not yet voted elsewhere in the current election".

Voters looking to cast their ballots early can do so on Wednesday until 6 p.m.at their riding's returning office.

"I am so grateful for all of the Kentuckians who give of their time and talent to help us run elections across Kentucky, especially our county boards of elections and our precinct officials", said Grimes. Voters are reminded to bring these cards and one piece of identification to vote.

Absentee ballot application forms are available at the County Election Board office, 131 W. 13th St.in Ada.

To find out where to vote, go to Elections Ontario's page on Voter Information Service.
