Once the Jeep Renegade enters the Indian market, it will go head-on with the Hyundai Creta, Renault Captur, and possibly the upcoming Nissan Kicks, considering Jeep prices the SUV favorably.

Jeep has officially unveiled the images of the facelifted Jeep Renegade that is expected to be launched in India.

The Renegade facelifted variant is most likely to arrive with a new 1.0-litre, a three-cylinder engine which belts out 120bhp. It has an entirely new shape and design, with the turn signals sharing space with new vents and the fog lights have been moved inboard a bit, sharing real estate with the slimmer lower grille opening.

Mechanically, the Jeep Renegade facelift is expected to receive an update in its powertrain options as well.

At first glance, the changes are subtle: The headlights have new elements in them, including an outer LED ring; the grille's vertical bars have sharper and slimmer edges, and the headlight frames are sculpted with more rectangular interior housings.

Jeep has finally revealed the refreshed 2019 Jeep Renegade compact crossover SUV. Now with the official unveil, the SUV looks more stylish than the previous models. Oddly, Jeep is not offering any details on the revised Renegade just yet; instead just releasing three photos.

Inside, a larger infotainment screen takes the place of the current 6.5-inch unit, absorbing the buttons and controls previously surrounding it.

Jeep hasn't said yet when the 2019 Renegade will hit European showrooms or when we can expect one here. The Jeep Renegade will soon be launched in India and it remains to be seen whether we get the facelifted model or not. The growth in the range of petrol engines comes as Jeep plans on ditching diesel in Europe within the next five years.

Jeep is also expected to launch a turbocharged diesel engine in specific worldwide markets as well.
