BREAKING Lions tigers and jaguar ESCAPE from zoo
Three lion cubs were born on April 14, 2018 at the zoo.
Five risky predators, including two lions, two tigers and a jaguar escaped from a zoo in western Germany on Friday, sparking a massive hunt, a spokesperson for the local authorities told AFP. Local residents were advised to stay in their homes and to call the police if they saw the animals.
The Eifel Zoo in Lünebach, Germany, was heavily flooded after a storm that also damaged fences, allowing the animals to leave their enclosures, authorities said. Wildlife lovers said the case showed wild animals should not be kept in cages.
The caution has come even though the escaped animals are still believed to be on the grounds of the zoo. Police say they are responding the situation but now have no further details.
